TASTE OF BRAZIL is a unique opportunity to explore and celebrate Brazil in film, history, literature, dance, music, and culinary delights. This evening event, presented by Eduardo Montes-Bradley and Soledad Liendo, begins with the screening of Samba On Your Feet as first focal point on Brazilian Culture. A round of Q&A leading to “Focus on Bahia” will follow the screening, when we will explore one of Brazil’s most extraordinary cultural frameworks: São Salvador da Bahia de Todos os Santos. During this second focal point we’ll explore Santería, Literature, and Music in Bahia. From Samba and Bossa Nova, to Forró and Sertanejo.
Our third focal point in this seminar calls for Chef Soledad to present three delicacies of Bahia’s culinary heritage, one of the richest, by all means, in the American continent. The tasting is an extraordinary opportunity to introduce seminar participants to the history of Cachaça, Brazil’s national drink par excellence and an extraordinary opportunity to reflect in the cultural predicaments of a sugar-based economy.
