This five-day course will allow the campers to become immersed in French art and culture. While creating or building on preexisting French vocabulary, each camper will be exposed daily to a French artist, their life, and technique, while building their own repertoire of artistic talent through hands-on projects. Emily, who specializes in art and French education for children, will create a sort of Parisian Salon at Speak! – teaching the children about French art history, helping them learn how to SEE and CRITIQUE art, taking them on visits to local art galleries such as Les Yeux du Monde and leading them in numerous art projects inspired by masters like Cezanne, Manet, Matisse and more. Each day will involve lots of French language fun, too! The week will culminate in a beautiful art exhibition to which all families and friends will be invited.
