Course Description:
This course is for people who are interested in building a solid elementary foundation of Arabic language, a living Semitic language for over 330 million people, which has produced a wealth of classical, medieval, and modern literature extending over sixteen centuries. This intensive course is for beginners with no knowledge of the language and for learners who have basic knowledge of the alphabets. This course teaches Modern Standard Arabic through a communicative approach which emphasizes all skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Many cultural aspects will be highlighted.
