Modern Greek Language and Culture Programs
Our mission at Speak! is to make the Greek language fun and enjoyable for you to learn all while building solid language skills. You’ll build a base of Greek vocabulary and learn to put sentences together, and apply your knowledge by carrying on dialogues.
“It’s all Greek to You”: Modern Greek Language and Culture for Beginners/Travelers

Is it all Greek to you? This class will introduce newcomers to the language and culture of Modern Greece, a language that echoes in the world of science, and a culture with ancient roots. Students will learn how to engage in modern Greek conversations using general expressions, simple verbs, and everyday vocabulary. The instructor, Dionisios, will also help students get over any Greek-language jitters, using easy-to-do tips to improve pronunciation and vocabulary. By the end of the course, students should also be able to read, transliterate, and translate comfortably from the Greek alphabet. They will also learn some fun facts about Greek culture, music, dance, and food! The lessons are especially useful for travelers and other romantics!
