Joseph Paola is a Ph.D. student and Spanish instructor at the University of Virginia. Before coming to Charlottesville, he taught Spanish at an international boarding school in Boston and worked as an assistant professor of Spanish at Providence College in Rhode Island, where he previously received his B.A. Before he entered teaching, he lived in Spain while completing his Master’s at Middlebury College’s campus in Madrid. He has taught lower and advanced levels of Spanish and has experience working with elementary, high school, university, and adult students. In his free time he enjoys travelling, reading, and drinking (lots of) coffee.
