Sandra was born and raised in Rota, a seaside town in southern Spain. After graduating from high school, she decided to move across an ocean to Washington, D.C. There she attained her bachelors degree at American University and has since been in the US with an occasional trip home. Sandra has over 15 years of experience in the teaching, technology, and business fields. Currently, aside from teaching, she is a freelance interpreter and translator. Full of energy and Andalusian spiri,t she enjoys teaching, cooking, and dancing flamenco. Her greatest passions are her family and educating students of all ages. In addition to running the Spanish Afterschool program at Speak!, Sandra enjoys teaching in local primary and secondary schools. She is currently living at Lake Monticello where she resides with her family.
