Tuition includes: A hearty, organic breakfast each morning. All meals and activities at Urnatur. Lunch and dinner at Host and Vakst in Copenhagen. Meals on our boat tour and our final dinner in Stockholm. Private bus transportation from Copenhagen to Urnatur and Urnatur to Stockholm. Group tours (bike, kayak, boat, food) as described in itinerary. Copenhagen Card (5 days of public transport; museum entries). An autographed copy of Jaime’s book. Access to our pre-trip reading list and discussion group.
Tuition does not include: airfare or airport transportation; meals (lunch, dinner beyond those described in itinerary); your trip insurance (required). Activities and such during your free time.
This trip is ideal for: anyone over 18 who is interested in our small group experience of Scandinavia. That includes individuals, couples, parent-sibling duos and good friends. Many new friendships will certainly be made during this adventure!
Language: This trip will be conducted entirely in English (spoken in all of our destinations), though if you wish to learn a few words and phrases in Danish or Swedish, you’ll receive extra credit points, for sure!
Payment: A deposit of 50% of the total is required to ensure your reservation, together with a completed registration form. The balance is due 90 days prior to our departure date on May 1, 2017. We prefer checks, however all major credit cards are welcome.
Cancellation and Refunds: Your deposit will be refunded less an administration fee of $150.00pp up to 90 days before the trip. No refund will be given after May 1st, as we need to pay our vendors in Scandinavia by this date. The required trip insurance will protect you should a last minute emergency arise, as most policies refund any expenses incurred relating to the trip (tuition, flight, etc). Savoring Scandinavia is a lovingly planned, small group travel experience and our policies are designed to keep our program small and stress-free.
Travel/Trip Insurance: We require that all trip participants have travel insurance for this trip. Travel insurance generally covers you in two ways- 1) before you take the trip it covers your non-refundable expenses in the event you have to cancel for a covered reason (medical emergency being the number 1 reason for cancellation) and 2) while you are on the trip it covers you should you have to leave the trip early, seek medical attention, or use a medical evacuation service. If you, or anyone in your immediate family, has a pre-existing medical condition that could result in the cancellation of this trip it is advisable to get travel insurance coverage within 2 weeks of the initial trip deposit. You do not have to cover the full amount of the trip at this time but if you have the policy in place within that time frame you will be covered if anything related to a pre existing condition results in the cancellation of your trip. The insurance amount would be increased as future payments are applied to the trip.
